Feeding: Working & Sporting

As a working gundog kennel we have tried many brands and methods of feeding our dogs.  A dogs diet has become as important as our own. We know more about muscle and condition than ever and expect the performance of an athlete from our competition dogs.  

We at Oakshot are proud of the condition of our dogs, and are now happy to endorse a food and method of feeding that suits our dogs.

We believe that a B.A.R.F. diet is a natual and successful way of feeding.  Along with raw bone you must feed veg. vitamins, herbs and oil.

With a huge amount of help from Burgess Pet Care and with data from Leeds University a food has now been produced that enables us to balance the bone we feed a.m with the complete food we feed p.m.

It has taken the guesswork out of the mineral/vitamin supplements we need.

The complete food is called 'Country Working & Sporting' and when we first discussed it at its origin the criteria had been Oats not wheat - Fresh Salmon -  Linseed and a realistic price.

The result - digestable energy

The contents - Chicken meal, Rice,Naked Oats, Poultry fat, Fresh Salmon, Beet pulp, Dried egg, Linseed, Yeast, Seaweed, Peas,Prebiotics & Minerals.  The special mineral/vitamin supplement is used containing high levels of Vit E, Glucosomine, Prebiotics,Zinc/Taurine and Biotin.
