Testimonials

"I started to visit Graham when the training I was doing with my puppy Springer Spaniel (from books) started to go wrong and I didn't know why.  From the first time I met Graham I was amazed at the obvious connection he has with dogs.  He has a gentle calm manner around them which they seem to respect and they will do anything he wants (even when they don't do it for you! )  It is truly fascinating to watch.  I started on a one to one basis picking up from where I left off (sited and blind retreives and some whistle work) and also joining the puppy classes which helped my puppy have control and patience around other dogs.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the sessions and was amazed at Graham's knowledge of dogs and their behaviour.  It really does open your eyes into how to get the best from your dog.  My puppy came on leaps and bounds with Grahams training and so did I.  I have confidence now in what I am doing and have learnt a lot from Graham.  Graham obviously knows his stuff and his dedication and love for dogs and training shows through his approach.

After working with Graham there is noone else I would rather take my dog too.

"Graham has a special way with dogs. He can take some very raw material and turn out field trial standard dogs. He has an empathy which can turn a nervous, gun-shy and confused Labrador into a high quality working dog. He is totally dedicated and I can recommend him wholeheartedly."

"I sent Sid, our six month old Cocker Spaniel, to Graham for obedience and gundog training last year.  Sid as a puppy had been a soft, well-behaved and friendly person but in true spaniel mode turned into a head-strong uncontrollable demon on walks.  After a month with Graham we had him back for a weekend and the transformation was incredible.  He responded straight-away to the whistle with precision and alertness – returning on command, sitting at distance and quartering.  Following a further two weeks with Graham the retrieving, which had never been of much interest to Sid, was mastered.  We are now a shooting season and six months down the road and, whilst given half a chance Sid would be keen to revert to his head-strong days, he needs little reminding and responds to all the training techniques Graham originally taught him.  I am delighted with Sid in the field and only have Graham to thank."

"Graham has trained 3 of our labradors and hopefully a 4th, when she is old enough.
When it comes to dogs Graham is hard working, dedicated and without doubt a very good trainer and handler, he has a way with dogs which is seldom found and is able to turn out dogs either for shooting or, if they haven't the ability to suceed  in the very competitive gun dog world, a very well trained dog. (one of ours didn't and he very honestly quickly pointed this out)

Graham is patient and a good communicator with people and their dogs, he gives good advice, builds confidence and has the experience to show how to get the best results from your dogs by adapting his training methods to suit each dog.

As we haven't much experience when it comes to shooting, Graham also invited me to a shoot that he organised, to see exactly why he trains the way he does, which gave me a much greater insight and respect to how he trains.  I enjoyed every minute in very good company and hope to do so in the future."

"Graham is currently training myself as a handler and my  young Labrador to be a working gundog to field trails standard. This has turned out to be a pleasure – Graham displays extensive knowledge and really relates to how the young dog behaves and interprets the mind of the adult dog. He displays a sense of calm when working with the dogs and their owners and his facilities from the water to the woods to the game cover – not forgetting the moors are first class. Currently his developments in the building of new kennels suitable for puppies to full size runs for the older dogs are nearing completion and enhance the first class facilities. I have watched as Graham has taken my dogs raw talent and transformed this into the makings of a gun dog in a relatively short space of time. His care and attention in training myself, wife and daughters to provide the best care for our dog is first class. I have also had the pleasure of watching Grahams dogs work in Field Trials and are of a very high standard. If you wish to place your dog in the hands of someone who is experienced, patient, calm and caring then Graham is your man."
