Gundog training and obedience training mean pretty much the same thing, you just add on the appropriate bits as you go.
Whether they are spaniels, labradors, korthals griffon or English pointers - sit means sit, "don't drag me down the road" means "don't drag me down the road" and recall means recall! This is Rocket Ronnie.....his recall is reliable.....and it's only taken 3 years!!!! 😂
I was delighted with Ronnie on the Glorious 12th 2019. On his first big day working on grouse, our team shot four brace to Ronnies points, with Molly, Cilla & Vixen picking up. We walked some miles in perfect weather.

Good pointing Ronnie!
Ronnie never misses the opportunity for a cuddle.

We expect a lot from our working dogs. January we are "hi lost"ing them across the shoots of the land finding game.
March we are asking them to go "left a bit, right a bit, STOP" and yes the I'd like that canvas dummy at the base of that tree. So February we train....
In February 2019, we had some static working test setups to try. Aimed at handlers putting their dogs into Open Tests this Spring/Summer. Separate dates saw the Novice dogs training. Max 8 dogs. Guidance if requested.
